Sleet Fighter is a fighting game built into the Dota 2 client and is free for all players. You’ll pick from five heroes and go toe-to-toe in the pub, throwing hands and battling using abilities just like you would in classic fighting games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.

Here’s everything you need to know about Sleet Fighter, the new Dota 2 fighting game.

To play Sleet Fighter, launch Dota 2 and head to Act Three’s The Frosts of Icewrack on the homepage. Progress through the first story tile of the Overworld map, then select the Sleet Fighter 2: Immortal Combat encounter to the left of the forked path. This takes you into the Severed Head pub—and into the fight of your life.

After a short story beat, you’ll be able to select your mode and begin your fight. You’ll also be able to see the rewards for landing a score and a leaderboard featuring your friends’ highest scores. Select Story Mode, then hit Fight! to begin.

Here, pick from five heroes, each with their own movesets. Select one, then hit Confirm Hero. Change your outfit if you’d like by selecting from the style pips in the bottom-left, then hit Confirm Style. Into the fight, you’ll go!

Your basic controls include the arrow keys or W/A/S/D, as well as Alt and Space. Pressing F9 will pauseand let you view each hero’s move sets and combos, with each hero’s abilities from Dota making an appearance. Combine blocking attacks and combos to deal bonus damage and fight to the death. A round ends when the 60-second timer expires or a player’s health hits zero. The first to two round wins is the victor.

Rewards for high scores on Sleet Fighter

You can only earn a high score by playing the Story Mode of Sleet Fighter, which sees your chosen hero go head-to-head against the other four heroes plus a difficult mirror match to close out the story.

Points are earned for wins, with bonuses received based on your health after each game and whether you go flawless (win without taking a single hit). Here are the Crownfall rewards for completing the Story Mode in Sleet Fighter:

  • 7,000 points: One random Overworld map token
  • 21,000 points: One random Overworld map token, Pixel Tusk Showcase Decoration
  • 35,000 points: Three random Overworld map tokens

You can run the Sleet Fighter Story Mode as many times as you like, so if you don’t crack the 35,000 on your first go, jump back in and try again.
