Dota 2 x Monster Hunter event: All free sets and how to get them

Valve has surprised fans with an exciting Dota 2 x Monster Hunter crossover, bringing a range of free cosmetics and fresh gameplay features.

This special collaboration with Capcom’s beloved franchise introduces new hero sets, companions, monsters, and a hunting and crafting system in Dota 2 inspired by Monster Hunter’s mechanics.

All free Dota 2 x Monster Hunter sets and items

There are six Monster Hunter-themed hero sets available, each inspired by iconic armor from Capcom’s franchise and reimagined for the world of Dota 2. Every set also includes three craftable variant versions, offering unique customization options. In addition, players can unlock a brand-new courier and effigy pet.

How to get the Dota x Monster Hunter sets

The event introduces a new crafting system that lets players forge items from each Monster Hunter-inspired set. Crafting materials are earned after every Dota 2 match, with victories yielding more resources than defeats.

Each hero’s base set is free for all players and can be crafted once you’ve gathered enough materials. Those looking to upgrade can purchase the Expedition Pack for $14.99, which functions like an event pass. It instantly unlocks the core versions of the sets and grants access to premium variants featuring custom ambient effects and Immortal-quality visuals.

On top of the upgraded sets, the Dota 2 x Monster Hunter Expedition Pack includes additional themed content, such as Rathalos replacing Dragon Knight’s Elder Dragon Form, Bullfango as Beastmaster’s Call of the Wild Boar, a Monster Hunter music pack, seasonal sprays, and a starter bundle of crafting materials.

The event also introduces a Hero Atlas, where players can unlock exclusive artwork and lore for each hero simply by playing matches with or against them.
