Led by their 18-year-old star player donk, reigning Major champions Spirit easily cruised to the playoffs after capping their perfect run with a sweet 2-0 sweep against NAVI. Surprisingly, FURIA also went flawless in the third stage.

NAVI made sure to bounce back after their defeat to Spirit to secure a playoff spot. Vitality saw their winning streak snapped by Legacy at 30, but immediately regained the form that makes them the team to beat at the Major. Meanwhile, s1mple has proven that he’s back after helping FaZe ignite a three-match win streak following their opening game loss.

Grand final – June 22 (Sunday)

  • 2:30pm CDT | 9:30pm CEST: TBD vs. TBD

The playoffs feature a single elimination format. All matches are best-of-three, including the grand final (Valve please fix).

If Spirit manage to take down MOUZ, they’ll have a guaranteed showdown with either Vitality or NAVI, two of the toughest teams in the tournament. Over on the other side of the bracket, FaZe are gearing up for a fiery rematch with MongolZ, while paiN and FURIA are locked in an all-Brazilian brawl.

Personally, I’m hoping to see FaZe reach the grand final and go up against either Spirit or Vitality. That would give us a dream matchup: s1mple versus donk or ZywOo, which can add another solid argument to the CS GOAT debate.
