One of the world’s best Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare players is now a free agent after a sudden roster change.

CWL Stage One Playoffs MVP Trei “Zer0” Morris was released from Splyce’s CoD roster Wednesday, the player announced via Twitter. His former Splyce teammate Ben Bance also tweeted shortly after that the team is indeed looking for a player to replace Zer0.

Zer0 was touted as one of the best players in the world this past summer after consistently showing off his slaying ability in Call of Duty World League play. He posted an outstanding 1.28 Kill/Death ratio in the playoffs of Stage One of the Call of Duty World League. That was good enough to earn him the Stage One Playoffs MVP, which made him the only European player to take home a MVP award at a major CWL open event in IW.

Although Zer0 showed that he had the ability to match anybody, he and his team fell on relatively hard times following their second-place finish at the CWL Anaheim Open. Splyce failed to crack the top six in either Stage Two of the Call of Duty World League or the $1.5 million CWL Championship.

The team’s late-year struggles were reasoned by many as Zer0 just being lackluster. Unlike his Stage One postseason performance where he posted the 1.28 KD, he failed to hit a 1.00 KD in either of the last two events.

Despite the poor performances recently, Zer0 will still likely be an extremely coveted free agent prior to WWII. Splyce’s open roster spot also will be incredibly sought after due to their status as the best team in Europe.

With Zer0 available and Splyce looking for a new star, rosters across the pond will likely see lots of shuffling before the next CoD’s release.
