How to open Warzone Stadium on Verdansk

In Call of Duty: Warzone season five, the Verdansk Stadium roof is accessible for the first time since the original map’s removal in 2021, but unlocking it requires coordinated team efforts.

From Aug. 7 to 14, 2025, you must complete the limited-time Satellite Hijack Contract during your Warzone matches, and that involves investigating campsites for a decrypting tool, hijacking relay modules, and defending the hack.

The event activates only when at least three contracts are completed within the same game, triggering an explosion on the Warzone Stadium roof. The contract is available only for the first 15 minutes of every match, so you must hurry up as well. Here’s everything you need to know about opening the Verdansk Stadium in Warzone season five.

How to complete the Satellite Hijack Contract to open Warzone Stadium

The Satellite Hijack Contract is a multi-step process:

Locate an Orbital Strike Crate

Once you hop into a match and open the map, you will find 10 red icons at random locations (up from six previously)–these are the places where Orbital Strike Crates spawn. Open one of them to start the contract. Once done, you’ll need to head to a campsite or eliminate an opponent to get a Decrypting Tool.

Keep in mind, other squads will race toward this tool too. So, if they reach it first, you’ll need to eliminate them and snatch the tool. You have to be both speedy and aggressive in this case.

Hijack a Relay Module

Once you have the Decrypting Tool, move to the designated Relay Module and interact with the station to start the hacking process into the LSAT.

A timer will be activated, and you have to defend the area until then; it can last up to two minutes. During this time, your team must defend against incoming enemy attacks, as opponents will try to disrupt the hack and steal the tool. Have the best loadouts possible, survive, and finalize the hacking.

Warzone Stadium roof breach

Once at least six squads finish their Satellite Hijack Contracts during the same match, a dramatic cinematic sequence triggers, where an orbital laser strikes the Stadium roof and blows it open. You can then rush inside and explore the previously sealed-off Stadium, hunt for high-level loot, and compete for the exclusive Weapon Case spawn inside.

If you miss this threshold or the time window (contract is only available for the first 15 minutes), the event simply will not trigger, so you have to be very careful and fast at the same time. The Warzone Stadium roof event is only repeatable during matches in the first week, and then becomes a regular POI after Aug. 14.

Satellite Hijack Contract rewards in Warzone season 5

You can get four rewards after completing the Satellite Hijack Contract:

• Enigma blueprint for the CR-56 AMAX assault rifle (primary reward)
• Survive the orbital strike to get the Destination Reached spray and ‘When the Sky Fell’ calling card
• Locate the Weapon Case from the Satellite Hijack control point, hold on to it for 60 seconds (reduced from 90 seconds) to unlock the XMG Red Specter blueprint
