The wait is finally over—League Play will be added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 next week.
Treyarch made a Reddit post tonight and confirmed that the highly-anticipated competitive mode will be available for PlayStation 4 Black Ops 4 players on Feb. 21.

The mode was originally announced during the Black Ops 4 reveal stream on May 17, but fans have been left waiting for it to actually join the game. Treyarch pushed back the launch of League Play multiple times in December and January, too—but on Jan. 29, the developer said that the mode would be added to the game in mid-February.
The new esports-centric World League Hub will also be introduced to Black Ops 4 along with League Play, first on PS4. And the first League Play Event will start on Thursday, Feb. 21.
Treyarch also announced massive balance changes to several competitive weapons, including the Maddox and Saug. These nerfs, among others, could have a major impact on the competitive landscape in both League Play and professional Call of Duty World League action. The multiplayer balance changes will be introduced on Feb. 19.
