Modern Warfare 3’s year in the Call of Duty sun is winding down, but not before one more season in the spotlight adds new content like The Haunting and more.
With multiple weapons added per season of MW3, the arsenal for players has grown exponentially since launch. The final season of MW3 adds two more guns, and they both sound like they’ll be a lot of fun, including the DTIR 30-06.
Here’s everything we know about one of the two new weapons coming to MW3 and Warzone in season six.
What is the DTIR 30-06 in MW3 and Warzone?
The DTIR 30-06 is a new battle rifle in MW3 and Warzone’s season six. It’s described as a “slow-firing and hard-hitting battle rifle chambered in .30-06,” perfect to help players “eliminate long-range threats.”
“Steady and powerful, this battle rifle works wonders in the hands of a skilled operator,” Activision said. “Its slow fire rate helps you conserve ammo and stay on target, inflicting heavy damage with each shot. Its strong base model gives you plenty of control when building the weapon out in Gunsmith. Throw on a scope to keep enemies at a distance, bulk up its ammo reserves with a larger magazine, and improve its handling speeds with an assortment of ergonomic designs.”
How to get the DTIR 30-06 in MW3 and Warzone
The DTIR 30-06 is unlocked within the season six battle pass for MW3 and Warzone. It’s a free unlock that’s found within Sector Six of the battle pass, pictured on the left side of the image above. The new gun has 20 levels to grind through and unlock new attachments with.
To get to Sector Six in the battle pass, navigate left out of the start point of Sector Zero to move through Sectors Two and Four before reaching Six. Unlock all items within Sector Six to unlock the DTIR 30-06.
Alternatively, if you purchase the season six BlackCell battle pass bundle, you can get early access to the gun via a special blueprint found within Sector 20, which is one Sector to the right of the BlackCell starting point.
Usually, there are store bundles that include new seasonal weapons, too, so be sure to check the in-game CoD Store to see if there are any that include a blueprint for the new battle rifle after season six starts on Sept. 18.
