How to fix ‘Your profile was signed out’ error in Black Ops 6 and Warzone

Here some easy fixes to resolve this glitch.

Call of Duty players encounter errors from time to time, especially after big updates like new seasons or mid-season patches. One issue that keeps coming back is the dreaded “Your profile was signed out” error.

It’s a frustrating one, and it can happen for all sorts of reasons, from server-side issues to corrupted game files. But don’t stress, we’ve got your back with some easy fixes to get you signed in and back into the action as soon as possible.

Fixes for ‘Your profile was signed out’ in BO6 and Warzone

Check for updates and server status

Before diving into more technical fixes, make sure everything’s up to date. That means Call of Duty itself and the platform you’re using. Running on old versions can lead to random sign-outs or connection hiccups.

Take a quick check of the server status as well. Sometimes the issue isn’t on your end at all. Head over to Activision Online Services page or check out CoD’s updates account on X (formerly Twitter) account to see if there’s downtime or maintenance going on. It might just be a case of bad timing.

Ensure your internet connection is fine

A weak or unstable connection, especially over Wi-Fi, can cause you to get booted from the game. Try restarting your router, switching to a wired connection if possible, or even running a speed test to make sure things are stable.

Sign out of your platform and sign in again

Sometimes a simple reauthentication can resolve the issue. To do this:

  1. Exit the game completely.
  2. Sign out of your gaming account on your platform (Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Battle.net, or Steam).
  3. Restart your console or PC.
  4. Sign back in and launch the game again.

This can refresh your profile connection and resolve temporary authentication issues that might trigger the “Your profile was signed out” error.

Repair game files

Corrupted or missing game files can also lead to the “Your profile was signed out” error, especially for PC users. Here’s how you can verify your game files:

For Steam:

  1. Open your Steam Library.
  2. Right-click on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 or Warzone, and select Properties.
  3. Go to the Installed Files tab and click “Verify integrity of game files.”
  4. Steam will scan and repair any missing or damaged files.

For Battle.net:

  1. Open the Battle.net app.
  2. Navigate to Call of Duty.
  3. Click the gear icon next to the Play button.
  4. Select Scan and Repair, then Begin Scan.

After the scan completes, try launching the game again. This step often resolves unexpected errors related to corrupted data.

Uninstall then re-install the game

This is one’s the classic last-ditch fix. If BO6 or Warzone just won’t cooperate, try uninstalling the game completely. Once it’s removed, restart your console or PC, then reinstall it. A clean install can clear out any hidden bugs or corrupted files that might be messing with your profile sign-in.

If none of these fixes work and that error’s still hanging around, your best bet is to reach out to Activision Support and file a report.
