After nearly two weeks of Division B play in the 2019 CWL Pro League, Team Heretics have suffered their first loss.
Heretics started the regular season with five consecutive match wins, defeating teams like Splyce and eUnited. When they went up against 100 Thieves, however, they were unable to keep their undefeated record alive.
100 Thieves entered their series against Heretics on Wednesday with a two-match win streak—and they looked like a team with major momentum as they took Hacienda Hardpoint to go up a game in the series. They kept rolling with a 6-4 win on Arsenal Search and Destroy to put the Spaniards on the edge of defeat.
Heretics looked like they’d push it to a fourth map after going up 2-1 in Frequency Control, but 100 Thieves fought back to close out the series with a 3-2 victory. The win marks the fourth of the season for 100 Thieves.
