There are three Primordial Vaults in Borderland’s Kairos, but you won’t be able to step into them immediately. You’ll need to activate the Order Silo in each of the main regions to reveal the highlighted blue zones on the map to find and collect three vault fragments. Once you’ve completed that task by locating them, you will see another final blue zone where you’ll get the entrance to the Primordial Vault. While you can find it yourself, we’ve provided you with maps to save you some time and help you navigate directly to these spots.

Make sure that you have a decent loadout because you’ll have to face three waves of hard difficulty enemies, along with a Guardian boss in the end, which drops some of the best legendaries and other rarity loot in the game.

Carcadia Burn Primordial Vault

Let’s start with the three vault fragments you’ll need to find in the Carcadia Burn region. For the first one, you’ll have to make your way to the Gas Station in the Lopside area, which Rippers overrun. Clear the location with your weapons, and you should find the first vault fragment. Next, follow the coastlines to get to the Tonnage Peel area to enter the wrecked ship. Fight the enemies and look for the area with the red emergency light to open the vent, and go down to find the second vault fragment.

Lastly, go straight north of the region, and you should find it near the golden orbs on the wall. Once you have all the vault fragments, another blue highlighted zone will give you an area to search for the Primordial Vault, but you can use our map to find it directly to fight the enemies.

Once you’ve defeated the enemies, you’ll face the Guardian Radix boss. The boss is incredibly bulky and uses electric-type attacks. Consider not using your melee weapons against this boss because it has levitating rocks around it, which makes it tough to get closer to him, acting as a natural shield. It also brings down lighting, so avoid that to defeat him easily.

Fadefields Primordial Vault

For the lush and green Fadefields, the first vault fragment can be found west of Coastal Bonescape near the water. It is also full of Ripper enemies, but once you clear them out, make your way to the backside of the building toward the sea, where you’ll find the vault fragment on a crate. Next, make your way to the hilly area south of the Howl area to find the second one. Once you claim it, make your way to the last one near Idolator Noose, find the place again infested with Rippers, and find the secret room through a hole in the wall.

Once you have all the fragments, go southeast from the last fragment to find the Primordial Vault portal and jump into it to face enemies. After the enemies, the Guardian Inceptus boss spawns in as the final challenge. While the boss does ranged damage through stabbing, you always have to be on the move to take it down without taking lethal damage. The final phrase cacoons the boss, and the floor becomes poisonous. Make sure to use your grapple to hit the cocoon’s weak spots, and once you’ve dealt enough damage, the boss falls and exposes its weak spots. Now, you can finish off the boss with the right weaponry to end its tale.

Terminus Range Primordial Vault

In the rocky terrain of Terminus Range, the first one is near the Cuspid Climb point of interest, and climb the ridge to enter the mountain. Look for the golden yellow balls, and the fragment should be on the ground next to a person. Next, make your way to the buildings in the middle of the region and go to the control room by opening the doors to find your next vault fragment on a small box.

Lastly, the last fragment can be found to the north of the region, where you reach the area, and you’ll have to grapple up to find the ridge with golden yellow balls. The fragment should be inside a rock. Now, go south from the second fragment point and you’ll find the Primordial Vault.

Finish three waves of enemies, and you will see the Guardian Origo boss spawn. It is a flying boss, which always keeps you moving, but there’s also a chance that you’ll fall to your death, so always be aware of your positioning. The boss often changes its elemental strengths from fire to ice, which changes its moves, so you’ll need to learn them to defeat it with ease.
