Where to find Feral’s Den in Diablo 4

There's a few steps you need to take.

The Feral’s Den is one of the many dungeons Diablo 4 players can raid for items, goods, and an Aspect. I’d highly recommend it if you’re playing Druid, like I am. Completing it rewards you with the Aspect of Quicksand, which is an absolute must-have for anyone who wants to get the most out of the class.

Like some of the other dungeons that reward you with class-only Aspects, you’ll need to meet a requirement before you can get in. It worried me initially since I thought it would require a lot of steps, but it was ultimately pretty easy.

Feral’s Den is a werewolf and spider-filled dungeon found in Moordaine Lodge in Scolsglen. The first time I stepped foot in the area, I was confused because it didn’t actually show me Feral’s Den on the Diablo 4 map. Instead, it showed Moordaine Lodge. It turns out, you need to finish it in order to unlock Feral’s Den.

How to complete Moordaine Lodge in Diablo 4

The Moordaine Lodge Stronghold is a level 20 stronghold located in the northeastern region of Scosglen. You need to finish two objectives to complete it: Find The Lodge’s Missing Hunters and Slay the Beast of Moordaine.

There are three hunters: the Ganwed Hunter, the Punctured Hunter, and the Mauled Hunter. The Ganwed Hunter can be found near the entrance. Be warned, though. Interacting with the Ganwed Hunter will trigger a swarm of enemies that you’ll need to dispatch. It caught me by surprise the first time I did it.

The Punctured Hunter and the Mauled Hunter can be found towards the northwest and northeast corners of the stronghold, respectively. Both are surrounded by enemies you’ll need to eliminate before you can interact with them.

After interacting with the last hunter, the Beast of Moordaine will spawn. This boss has a few key attacks to watch out for, including a slash attack combo, a stomp attack, and a tornado summoning combo. It’s strong, but I found keeping your distance and using high DPS ranged attacks or spells to be an effective strategy, so I’d highly recommend doing that. I did it as a Necromancer without much trouble.

Once you defeat the boss, you’ll ring the Shrine bell and notice Feral’s Den on your map in the area where you beat the boss. Then, you’ll be able to have a crack at that, too. Be warned, though—it’s a lot harder.

How to complete the Feral’s Den dungeon in Diablo 4

Ferals’ Den has a few objectives you’ll need to complete to finish the dungeon. The first is to collect Animus from Animus Carriers, which are marked with a skull icon on the map. I didn’t find them to be too much trouble to find. After collecting enough, you need to put them into the Animus Urn, which is marked on the map with a white icon. This will open a blocked path, allowing you to progress through the dungeon.

Next, you’ll need to travel to the Feral Depths and activate two Runestones. These Runestones are marked with a white icon on the map, but be careful—they are guarded by spiders and other monsters. After activating them both, make your way to the Ritual of Rampage where you’ll find the final boss.

Innes, Vengeance of Glóra-An-Fhaidhá has some powerful attacks at her disposal, including a wind blast ability where she charges up before striking with a large blast of wind in a large circular area around her. I found it to be the best time to attack her, though, since she’s vulnerable during the charge.

Upon successfully completing the Ferals’ Den dungeon, players are rewarded with the Legendary Aspect.

What is the Aspect of Quicksand in Diablo 4?

The Aspect of Quicksand is a Legendary Aspect that cannot be used on other classes but Druids, but it’s account-wide, so if you don’t have a Druid character, I still recommend finding it so you can transfer it later.

The Aspect of Quicksand specifically affects the Druid’s Earth skills. When these skills are used, they slow enemies hit by 25 to 50 percent for a duration of five seconds. This can be a game-changer in combat, allowing the Druid to control the battlefield by slowing down enemies, making them easier to target and less likely to dodge attacks.

This Aspect can be used with various item types, including Helm, Chest Armor, Gloves, Boots, Shield, and Amulet. I highly recommend using it on an Amulet, since the power of the Aspect of Quicksand is increased by 50 percent.
