WoW Dragonflight Healer tier list: Best classes and specs in Patch 10.1

See how the game's Healers are ranked as Patch 10.1 kicks off.

Healing is one of the most involved tasks in World of Warcraft, and in Patch 10.1, Healers will have even more to do, as Blizzard implemented a change that increased players’ health totals by 25 percent, as well as bosses’ damage by 25 percent.

With that in mind, Healers will have to be consistently burning through spells to keep their group topped off.

Still, some Healers will have an easier time than others due to factors such as class balancing, itemization, and raw throughput. In this Patch 10.1 Healer tier list, we’re judging each spec by their healing output, management of major cooldowns, as well as the utility they bring to the table in both raids and Mythic+ dungeons.

Here are the best Dragonflight healing classes and specs, updated for Patch 10.1.

Best Dragonflight healing classes and specs

  • Preservation Evoker
  • Restoration Shaman

Preservation Evoker and Restoration Shaman sit at the top of our Healer tier list to start Patch 10.1. Both of these specs were incredibly reliable throughout the first season of Dragonflight, and we expect them to continue being strong as the game’s PvE content transitions. Evoker in particular has been the go-to Healer in almost every scenario, as the class combines strong healing-over-time throughput with reliable burst.

  • Holy Paladin
  • Restoration Druid

Although Restoration Druid was one of the best healing specs in the first season of Dragonflight, it took a slight step back to begin Patch 10.1. The spec’s four-set bonus doesn’t give the class any new active enhancers and only provides a throughput boost to healing-over-time effects. While Resto Druids will still be plentiful in season two—they were the most popular spec in the entire game during season one, according to WoW stats site Raider.io—we expect their power level to be nerfed slightly.

B tier

  • Discipline Priest
  • Mistweaver Monk
  • Holy Priest

Both of Priest’s healing specs are staying put in B tier as we progress into Patch 10.1. Although Priests are still reliable healing options in both dungeons and raids, we feel as though they are weaker in comparison to some of the stronger options. Plus, Priest players are likely to find more success in the DPS role this patch, as Shadow is still among the best specs.

What’s most notable about the B tier this patch is Mistweaver Monks have finally moved up the rankings. Although the spec was struggling to kick off the expansion, Mistweaver has gradually snuck up the tier list and now finds itself on par with some of the game’s other options. While they’re still among the weakest (relatively speaking), Mistweaver players will have a much easier time in Patch 10.1 than they did in Patch 10.0, largely due to the mana regeneration assistance they’ll be getting from their tier-set bonus.

Keep in mind this list will evolve as Dragonflight season two carries on. As more data from Mythic+ dungeons and Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible is revealed, our rankings will likely shift. Additionally, it’s worth noting that C and D tier were excluded from this list entirely, as no Healer specs were worthy of those designations.
