It’s an epic level one item that mostly adds some extra flavor to your gear by adding visual effects. Who doesn’t love transmog, right? Here’s our full guide on how to get Luminous Nerubian Catalyst Stone in The War Within.

Although it’s not a regular item, Luminous Nerubian Catalyst Stone serves as a cosmetic change to your gear. It’s an epic item that changes the appearance of your Nerub-ar Palace class set pieces because it adds unique Nerubian special effects. Here are the class set pieces you can use your Luminous Nerubian Catalyst Stone on:

  • Helms
  • Shoulders
  • Chests
  • Cloak
  • Gloves
  • Legs
  • Belt
  • Boots
  • Bracers

You can obtain your class set pieces in a couple of different ways. The best and most optimal way is to do the Nerub-ar Palace Raid. However, you can also use the Catalyst Charge to transform your regular gear into class set one.

You can find this machine in the capital city of Khaz Algar where you get help from a Catalyst Steward NPC called Custodian Khubon. In Dornogal, at coordinates 50.02, 54.23 you’ll have a chance every two weeks to use Harmonized Silk and transform a piece of any type of gear of your choice into a class set one.

Unlike other items, you can think of the Luminous Nerubian Catalyst Stone as an exclusive one and you’ll have to put in some real work to get it. The item itself is connected to the Web-Wrapped in the Final Silks achievement and here are the following methods you can do to obtain Luminous Nerubian Catalyst Stone:

  • Defeat Queen Ansurek on Mythic difficulty Raid.
  • Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2500 during The War Within Season one
  • Reach the Elite Rank in PvP during The War Within Season one

None of these methods are easy, and they’ll all take you some time to grind out. If you’re eager to get Luminous Nerubian Catalyst Stone as soon as possible, I suggest jumping into PvP and grinding Honor or spam a ton of Mythic+ Dungeons until you reach at least 2,500 rating.

After you finally get your hands on the Luminous Nerubian Catalyst Stone, everything else is easy. The item will be in your bag, and it works the same way as Enchanting. Click on the item and then apply on a piece of your class set gear you want.

This will infuse your armor with a faint echo of the power of depths of Nerub-ar Palace, unlocking unique visual effects for your class set.
