How to join the Tycoon Club in Monopoly Go

Members only.

Some Monopoly GO players have been receiving invitations to the Tycoon Club. As the news of these invites started circling through community forums, others began wondering how to join.

The Tycoon Club includes extra rewards, and I would never pass on free Dice in Monopoly GO. Even on days I don’t have time to focus on the game, I keep my Dice cycling and take advantage of ongoing events to optimize my progression. When I first heard about the Tycoon Club, I instantly liked the benefits, pushing me to find out how to join this exclusive membership.

The Tycoon Club in Monopoly GO is an invite-only section with extra game rewards. Players who join the club unlock a daily wheel spin to get cash or free dice, an extra rewards track with Loyalty Points that include extra Sticker Packs, more dice, and even exclusive player tokens unavailable to other players. This track looks a lot like battle passes from other online games.

Based on my observations, this seems like an attempt to get Monopoly GO players used to interacting with rewards and purchases outside the game. With competition regulations changing, more games have started experimenting with launching separate stores on their website, allowing them to avoid high Apple and Google Play Store fees.

How to join the Tycoon Club in Monopoly GO

You can only get into the Monopoly GO Tycoon Club if you’re randomly chosen to receive a developer invite while playing the game. If you’re lucky, a blue letter with a diamond seal will appear on your screen during gameplay, and you’ll find the Tycoon Club now available under the Shop section in your side menu.

The random invites are likely part of a testing phase to see if this feature will become a permanent addition in the future. By picking players randomly, Scopely can gather feedback from a range of its players to determine the Tycoon Club’s effectiveness and decide whether it should be offered to all players. This step-by-step approach to introducing new features is a common strategy among game developers. They start with a small group of users to test the waters before deciding whether to roll it out more broadly or scrap it altogether. This is probably what’s happening with the Tycoon Club in Monopoly GO and why you may never receive an invite.

As of April 2024, there is nothing you can do to force an invite to the club, and there isn’t a connection between players getting into the club. Based on player reports, we know Scopely is still actively sending more invites.

On a Reddit thread discussing the Tycoon Club, many players highlighted the randomness of the invites. Some users spent hundreds of dollars on the game but are still waiting for an invite, while others received theirs on their free-to-play accounts. There have also been rumors that players in Canada are more likely to get invites, though people using VPNs to pretend to be in the country have also reported not getting an invite anyway. Unfortunately, all you can do is wait and eventually find out if you’re one of the lucky players selected.
