Veto is here

Veto is VALORANT’s seventh sentinel agent, featuring unique anti-ability powers fueled by his Radianite-induced DNA mutation. He hails from West Africa’s Senegal and wields one of the most powerful ability kits in the tac shooter to date. Here’s a summary of his abilities:

  1. Interceptor: Equip and fire to place an Interceptor that destroys wall-bouncing enemy abilities. It also zaps abilities that are vulnerable to bullets.
  2. Crosscut: Teleport to a vortex anchor.
  3. Chokehold: When triggered, it “seizes” enemies.
  4. Evolution (Ultimate): When active, Veto becomes immune to all debuffs, regenerates health, and gains combat stim.

For more details, take a look at our Veto abilities guide. You can unlock the Senegalese hunk for free by participating in the Agent Recruitment event, or exchange 1,000 VP ($9.99) to unlock him instantly after release. Also, players who own a valid Xbox Game Pass plan can connect their Riot account to Xbox and unlock him for free.

Skirmish mode is live

The newest Skirmish mode was dropped as a surprise on Oct. 3, the day of VCT Champions’ upper finals. Patch 11.07b formally announces its arrival. If you haven’t tried it yet, here’s a summary of what this mode has to offer:

  1. Custom mode
  2. Fast-paced rounds
  3. Focus on precision and mechanical practice
  4. Abilities can be enabled or disabled
  5. 10-round win condition
  6. Team sizes between 1v1 to 5v5; asymmetric teams supported
  7. Three different map options

You can know more about Skirmish from our detailed guide.

Known issues

If you open the agent info tab for Veto while in-game, you may see that his Interceptor costs 100 credits. This is a bug, as you can obtain the ability for free. It’ll be fixed with Patch 11.08.

Patch 11.07b may appear minor on paper, but Veto’s arrival is about to flip the whole ability-driven meta on its head. This update already feels stacked with how strong he’s shaping up to be. But that’s not enough for you, don’t worry—a major VALORANT update to kick off Act Six is dropping next week.
