TFT Dragonlands NA Last Chance Qualifier: Standings, scores, and format

The two final seeds for Regional Finals were on the line.

Sixteen North American Teamfight Tactics players competed for the final two seeds at the NA Regional Finals and a chance to compete at Worlds.

Scheduled to take place from Oct. 22 to 23, the TFT Last Chance Qualifier showcased gameplay from Patch 12.20. Players at the LCQ competed in 12 games over two days, six games each day, with the top two earning a direct invite to the NA Regional Finals

Here were the 16 NA players competing during day one of the TFT North American LCQ:

Oct. 22 TFT North America LCQ standings

Players were split into two lobbies on day one, with lobbies getting reseeded every two rounds. Only the top eight advanced to the final day, and the top three from day one earned bonus points to start the second day with. 

Game one of day one showcased a number of Dragon end-game comps with JasonJava and Reynzer both earning a lobby victory playing the verticle Dragon build. DQA bounced back during game two with a Dragon lobby win, while Guild Xayah earned a lobby win for Trikpi.

The meta shifted for game three, with IILucky winning with Whispers/Bruisers, and Kai’Sa Reroll earning a lobby victory for Wasianiverson. Trikpi earned another first during game four, along with Kevyzhou, with both players earning their victories on Jade/Whispers builds.

Game five had three-star shenanigans from Wasianiverson with a three-star Soraka and Ao Shin that disintegrated boards for a lobby victory. Meanwhile, Trikpi earned a third lobby win with Jade/Whispers. Not to be outdone, Wasianiverson earned their third lobby win during game six with Six Dragon. And SpicyAppies had a major comeback after starting day one with two eighth-place finishes, earning a lobby win and advancing to the second day with Kai’Sa Reroll.

Here were the eight players who advanced to the final day of the TFT North American LCQ:

  • Wasianiverson: 39 points (earned three bonus points to start day two)
  • SadgeSadgeSadge: 34 points (earned two bonus points to start day two)
  • SullyTFT: 32 points (earned one bonus point to start day two)
  • Trikpi: 31 points
  • Soul Reaver: 31 points
  • SpicyAppies: 27 points
  • Reynzer: 27 points
  • IILucky: 26 points

Oct. 23 TFT North America LCQ standings

Day two of the TFT North American Last Chance Qualifiers featured eight players and six games. The top three from day one started with bonus points and the top two from day two advanced to the NA Regional Finals.

Game one showcased seven players making it to stage six, with Wasianiversion earning the lobby win over SadgeSadgeSadge. The top four players from game one kept the streaks alive during game two, creating a four-point gap between fourth and fifth place after two games. Both IILucky and Trikpi made up ground through a first and second during game three, with Wasianiverson sitting atop the leaderboard following three games played.

A second-place finish from Wasianiverson during game four created a three-point gap between him and Sully in second place.

Renzer pulled out a lobby win, advancing them to third overall, two points ahead of SadgeSadgeSadge. And SpicyAppies, along with Trikpi were essentially out of the Regional Finals race after four games played.

Heading into the final game of day two, Wasianiverson and SadgeSadgeSadge were tied at 27 points. Close behind both players were Reynzer and Sully at 25 points, Soul Reaver with 24 points, and IILucky with 23 points.

Sully went Dragon Six during game six to win the lobby and earn an NA Regional Finals TFT seed. SadgeSadgeSadge finished above Wasianiverson during game six to earn a second-place finish in the NA Last Chance Qualifier overall standings, also earning an invite to the NA Regional Finals.
