This specific error occurs when there is an issue connecting to the game’s servers. Your own internet connection can cause this, or the Roblox servers could be down entirely.

Before jumping to conclusions, you can follow these steps to fix the problem:

1) Check server status

We suggest checking out the official Roblox X (formerly Twitter) account, as the developers occasionally post updates about widespread server errors. You can also check out the Roblox Down Detector, a third-party website that keeps track of error codes.

If the developers have confirmed an issue with the servers, you must stay patient and wait for a fix.

2) Restart the game

If there are no widespread server issues, the error code may be caused by your computer or internet connection. We suggest restarting the game, and then reopening Roblox to see if the error persists.

Completely restarting your computer may also fix the error code.

3) Check your internet connection

You may struggle to connect to Roblox because of an issue with your ISP, or internet service provider. Sometimes, these providers perform maintenance on Wi-Fi, or your computer may not be able to connect to the internet.

If you can’t connect to the internet, try restarting your router. You can also try to connect to other websites or games to see if the issues only occur when you use Roblox.

4) Contact support

If all else fails, you can contact Roblox customer support on their website. From this page, you can file an official support ticket and write about the issues you are currently experiencing.

Remember to include the different ways you attempted to fix the problem, so customer support can better understand the issue.
