Some characters carry entire games on their own, while others barely scratch the surface. With dozens of units to choose from—each with unique abilities, costs, and upgrade paths—figuring out who’s actually worth investing in isn’t always obvious.
That’s where we step in with our tier list. It ranks all the characters based on their performance in the current meta. Whether you’re a new player getting started with the various anime characters or a veteran looking to make a run for the top of the leaderboard, knowing which characters to pick will be a huge help.

All Star Tower Defense X tier list (July 2025)
All Star Tower Defense X, or ASTDX, features over 55 characters you can summon and equip. The developer also regularly adds new characters with updates and patches. This vast pool of units to choose from can make life a bit difficult, especially once you have a huge number of characters in your armory.
The fact that every character has their own set of strengths and weaknesses doesn’t make things any easier. Here’s the tier list, including all the characters, as well as their current tier position based on the in-game meta:
