The developer confirmed The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria launches at a discounted price of $19.99 on Steam and Xbox Series X|S for a limited time. After the offer expires, we can likely expect the game to cost $24.99, just like on the Epic Games Store and PlayStation Store.

At the time of writing, you can’t pre-order the game. The only option (at least on Steam) is to add it to your wishlist and wait until it releases on Aug. 27. There’s also only one edition of the game you can buy. No Deluxe or Ultimate editions with extra perks.

Instead, you can explore the new content of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria through free updates. The game launches on Steam and Xbox Series X|S alongside the release of The Golden Update for all platforms, packed with new features and improvements.

The Golden Update adds new weapons, armor, building parts, and decorations. It introduces crossplay across all available platforms where Steam players can host eight-player sessions, regardless of other players’ platforms, and marks the full launch of the Sandbox mode, previously only available in beta on Epic Games Store.
