A lot of Fortnite: Battle Royale fans are looking forward to today’s highly-anticipated in-game event.

A strange ice sphere recently started floating above Polar Peak. Then, a countdown began on TVs across the Fortnite island and a clock showed up around the sphere itself not soon after.

Most fans assume that all this points toward the next in-game event—and according to the countdown, it could start today (Saturday, Jan. 19) at 1pm CT.

Nobody knows exactly what to expect from this event, however. Earlier this week, a potential season seven finale scene was supposedly leaked, and the Ice King could be seen holding a dark cube similar to the one that traveled around the map in season six.

Epic hasn’t released any specific information about this potential in-game event, though. But Fortnite fans will definitely be paying close attention to the ice sphere today.

Many fans are hopeful that this event could be as remarkable as the rocket launch or purple cube explosion. If you want to experience the latest in-game event for yourself, we recommend signing on to Fortnite well in advance of 1pm CT—you’ll also want to start up a game a few minutes before this time in order to try to avoid any server issues or queue times.

Try to find a stealthy area to watch the event from, too. Avoid confrontation, set up a base in a safe spot, and look toward the sky today at 1pm CT—and hopefully, we’ll all get to witness another fantastic Fortnite event.
