How to find and use Pirate Cannons in Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean Cursed Sails

There are a few different special pirate items you can use in Fortnite’s Pirates of the Caribbean crossover event. One of the items you need to know how to find and use is Pirate Cannons.

Pirate Cannons can be a powerful tool when used correctly and they’re also an important item to find for certain quests. If you’re not familiar with them yet, here’s how to find and use Pirate Cannons in Fortnite.

How to find Pirate Cannons in Fortnite

Pirate Cannons can only be found at two locations in Fortnite. You can find them:

• At Shipwreck Shallows, which is the main Pirates of the Caribbean POI that’s located in the very center of the map. They’re scattered all around the Black Pearl ship, both on the top deck and throughout the lower levels. It’s a lot easier to find them if you destroy the structure with a Ship in a Bottle.
• Just south of Grand Glacier off the coast of the island, which is where you can find another pirate ship. You can find Pirate Cannons throughout the ship here, too.

You can’t find Pirate Cannons anywhere else, so whenever you’re on the hunt for one, you should always be prepared for a fight. Both locations are landing hotspots, which means there are generally lots of players around.

How to use Pirate Cannons in Fortnite

You can either use a Pirate Cannon by entering it to launch yourself out of it or steering it to fire away at opponents. There are a few options for using this item both ways and which one you choose is determined by the option you select upon interacting with the Pirate Cannon.

• If you choose the enter Cannon option, you can hop inside and shoot yourself out to quickly travel quite far. Before you shoot the Cannon, you can aim it to determine how far you travel.
• If you select the steer Cannon option, you can freely move, aim, and fire the Cannon as desired. It’s completely mobile, which means you can wheel it around to use it wherever you like.

Knowing how to use Cannons is essential for the damage opponents or travel distance with Cannons quest in the Cursed Sails event. If you want to claim Jack’s Ship Glider, it’s worth working your way through other tasks like raising the flag on the Floating Island and listening to Pirate Tales.
