After any tough battle in Fortnite, healing up as soon as possible is essential if you want to work toward claiming a Victory Royale. There are many different kinds of healing items you can grab, but Med-Mist is one of the best.

If you can find it, Med-Mist is a must-have item worth keeping on hand in case you need some quick and easy healing. Actually getting this item can be tricky, though, so here’s how to find and use Med-Mist in Fortnite.

Where to find Med-Mist in Fortnite

Med-Mist is a random loot item, which means you can find it just about anywhere in Fortnite. It can specifically be found:

  • By opening chests.
  • Within large ammo boxes.
  • By picking up floor loot.

Like most loot in Fortnite, Med-Mist is sometimes vaulted and unvaulted, which means you won’t always be able to find it around the map. As of Chapter Five, season three, Med-Mist has been unvaulted and is back in the game, but if this changes, we’ll update the information here to let you know it’s been vaulted again.

How to use Med-Mist in Fortnite

Med-Mist can be used to heal yourself, other players, allies, and even enemies, which means you have to be careful with this item. Every bottle of Med-Mist has 150 health points inside and heals the targeted player for five health with each tick.

  • If you select the (Hold) spray your friends option, the Med-Mist is pointed outward and applied to anyone who is nearby. This includes your teammates, hired NPCs, and enemies.
  • If you choose the (Hold) spray yourself option, the Med-Mist is pointed toward you and continuously heals you as much as it can.

Med-Mist is a healing-only item, which means it can’t restore your shields. You also can only stack one Med-Mist in your inventory, but it’s one of the most versatile and powerful healing tools you can get, which means it’s a great one to carry if you can spare the space to do so.
