While the Inkling and Ridley amiibo were shown off on the stream, a Daisy amiibo was confirmed to be in the works and would be revealed before the game’s official release on Dec. 7.

Nintendo confirmed Ridley, Inklings, and Daisy as the new characters. They join every other character that has ever been in a Smash Bros. game before. The roster is the biggest in Smash Bros. history and is catered to every fan from every game in the past two decades.

There is currently no confirmation about whether fans will be able to get amiibo for the other characters returning to Smash Bros. Ultimate, such as Solid Sanke, Pichu, and Ice Climbers. Fans will surely be eager to see if a new amiibo line based on the new game will be coming in the future or if Ridley, Daisy, and Inklings are just special one-off amiibo made to promote the game.

Smash Bros. was revealed back in March as part of a surprise Nintendo Direct. The announcement confirmed that a new character, Inkling from Splatoon, would make an appearance alongside Link in his Breath of the Wild look and Nintendo’s mascot, Mario. Not much else about the game was revealed at the time. Now, however, Nintendo has revealed that the game will feature brand new mechanics, stages, and moves for some of your favorite characters.

The game will launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 7.
