The event is to celebrate the addition of Black Widow, Venom, and Winter Soldier to the Marvel vs. Capcom fighting game—though free players won’t be able to try the DLC characters. Capcom revealed in September that the three new fighters would be coming soon to the game.

All PlayStation Plus member on PlayStation 4 will be able to participate in the free Versus Mode demo weekend. New players will be able to play against other PlayStation Plus members, as well as those who already own Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

Both Training Mode and Online Casual Match are available for free players. Likewise, all 30 launch characters are available for play. Venom, Winter Soldier, and Black Widow aren’t free for free weekend players, however.

Players who bought the 2017 Character Pass will have immediate access to the new DLC characters, as well as Black Panther, Sigma, and Monster Hunter.
