The duo will arrive alongside a new Commentator Voice Pack that features Chichi, Videl, and Android 18, brand new dramatic scenes that are unlockable once certain conditions have been met on the field of battle. A bunch of new lobby characters will also be available for players to use while online.

Alongside the announcement, Bandai Namco have announced a brand new free update that will be coming to the game sometime this Spring that will come with a brand new mode, Z-Unions.

In Z-Unions, players can fight under the banner of their favourite character of the series to face off against other fighters online to prove their character is the superior one. When a player wins a match in Z-Unions, they will be given a reward, though the rewards have not been revealed yet.

Broly and Bardock were first revealed in an issue of V-Jump magazine in February after a datamine revealed their existence. The datamine also suggested Zamasu, Vegito, Base Goku, and Base Vegeta would be added in the future. Bandai Namco has not officially revealed the other six DLC characters that are currently in development for the game.
