All new FUT ICONs in EA Sports FC 26

EA SPORTS FC 26 has officially revealed its newest class of ICONs, and the list includes some of the most exciting players we’ve seen over the years. This year’s iteration blends legendary men and women footballers who inspired generations, and we also have two players appearing for the first time as ICONs.

Seven of these ICONs have retired within the last few years, making their debuts even more special. They will be available across Ultimate Team, Clubs mode, and FC Mobile. Each ICON comes with a unique playstyle archetype that reflects their real-life skills.

There will be exclusive preorder ICON rewards, too, in case you were wondering. With that said, here’s everything you need to know about the FUT ICONs in EA Sports FC 26.

Here’s the full list of 12 ICONs who made their way to EA Sports FC 26:

• Andrés Iniesta (Spain)
• Toni Kroos (Germany)
• Caroline Seger (Sweden)
• Giorgio Chiellini (Italy)
• Sissi (Brazil)
• Francesco Totti (Italy)
• Marcelo (Brazil)
• Steffi Jones (Germany)
• Oliver Kahn (Germany)
• Cha Bum-Kun (South Korea)

EA has also given some of them distinct archetypes that influence how they used to play in real life:

• Target – For Zlatan, who thrives on physicality and aerial dominance
• Finisher – Built for natural goal scorers like Alex Morgan
• Maestro – For playmakers like Toni Kroos
• Shot Stopper – For elite keepers like Oliver Kahn
• Creator – For midfield magicians like Andrés Iniesta

The stars also shared their thoughts after being added to this year’s EA FC.  USWNT legend, Alex Morgan, said: “I’m excited to be able to further my legacy in FC 26 as an ICON. To be recognized among the game’s ICONs is an honor, and I hope to continue inspiring the next generation of players who dream of leaving their mark on the field.”

“No matter what they say, Zlatan is back,” said Zlatan Ibrahimović, the FC 26 Ultimate Edition cover athlete. “For the fans who always believed in me, you can now play as Zlatan, as an ICON, the way it was meant to be.”

Are there any EA Sports FC 26 pre-order ICONs?

Yes, if you pre-order EA Sports FC 26 Ultimate Edition by Aug. 26, 2025, you’ll get one untradeable debut ICON, including this year’s new ICONs and fan favorites like Ronaldo Nazário (R9), Thierry Henry, and Steven Gerrard. Debut ICONs will be available from Sept. 19, while Champion ICONs will be available starting in November.

Sept. 19 marks the date when you can get early access to the game, while it officially launches worldwide on Sept. 26 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
