Splyce absolutely dominated Team Sween, while OpTic beat eUnited in an intense four-map series. Here are the results from the winners bracket semifinals at CWL Las Vegas 2018.

Splyce vs. Team Sween

Team Sween played well throughout the first two days of this tournament, but Sunday’s matchup was completely controlled by Splyce. Daniel “Loony” Loza and crew opened the series with a strong 250-150 win on Hacienda Hardpoint.

Splyce kept on rolling on Arsenal Search and Destroy, where they crushed Team Sween 6-1. With all momentum on their side, Splyce took Gridlock Control 3-1 to pick up the series sweep. With this victory, Splyce also solidified at least a top four finish—which means they’ve clinched a spot in the 2019 CWL Pro League.

OpTic Gaming vs. eUnited

OpTic kicked off this showdown with an intense 250-245 win on Seaside Hardpoint, despite an incredible late comeback effort by eUnited. The Green Wall then stomped eUnited on Frequency Search and Destroy, 6-1.

James “Clayster” Eubanks and crew wouldn’t go down without a fight, though. They absolutely dominated Gridlock Control 3-0 to hand OpTic their second map loss of the tournament. But the Green Wall continued its impressive Hardpoint gameplay, taking Hacienda 250-197 to secure the 3-1 series win. And just like Splyce, OpTic have also locked in their spot in the 2019 CWL Pro League with this victory.

Splyce will face off against OpTic in the winners bracket finals later today, while Team Sween and eUnited will now have to battle through the losers bracket.
