Here are the results from the winners bracket semifinals at CWL London 2019.

Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves

Gen.G and 100 Thieves both opened the day with 3-0 victories: Gen.G swept UYU, while 100 Thieves beat eUnited. It wasn’t a shutout when these two teams faced off in the winners bracket semifinals, however.

Gen.G opened the series strong, winning Frequency Hardpoint 250-172 and Payload Search and Destroy 6-3. But 100 Thieves refused to go down without a fight. They started their comeback by winning Frequency Control 3-2 and followed that up with a 250-94 victory on Gridlock Hardpoint.

After forcing a decisive fifth map, 100 Thieves emerged victorious on Arsenal Search and Destroy to secure the reverse sweep of Gen.G.

OpTic Gaming vs. Heretics

Similar to Gen.G and 100 Thieves, OpTic started their run on Saturday with a 3-0 win over FaZe Clan. Heretics, on the other hand, picked up a surprising 3-1 victory against Splyce to set up this game against the Green Wall.

Even though this match was played in Europe, the Spanish squad definitely didn’t have a home-crowd advantage while facing OpTic. The Green Wall started off strong with a 250-201 win on Arsenal Hardpoint. Heretics fought hard on Frequency Search and Destroy, but Seth “Scump” Abner and crew took the round-11 win to go up 2-0 in the series.

With all momentum on their side, OpTic closed out the series sweep by winning Arsenal Control 3-1. This sets up a rematch against 100 Thieves, who OpTic already beat in pool play at CWL London.

OpTic and 100 Thieves will face off tomorrow in the winners bracket finals, while Gen.G and Heretics now have to fight through the losers bracket. Championship Sunday at CWL London begins at 4am CT.
