Nadeshot touts LA Thieves new god squad of CDL’s top talent after cutting his own salary to afford it

This roster is just plain scary.

The rumors were true. The Los Angeles Thieves new Call of Duty roster has been confirmed, forming one of the most formidable rosters the esport may have ever seen.

Ghosty has been joined by three of the current best players in the world, forming a veritable CoD God Squad for the Black Ops 6 season with HyDra, Scrappy, and Envoy. 100 Thieves CEO Matt “Nadeshot” Haag made the announcement on Twitter/X today after days of rumors.

HyDra is coming off of a first place finish in the CDL’s 2023 season, followed up with a fourth place finish with the New York Subliners, the team that signed him and brought him over from France back in 2020.

Scrappy, the boisterous former Toronto Ultra slayer and 2023 rookie of the year, came up short two years in a row looking for the CDL Championship, and will look to now dominate the league with his new teammates, including Envoy, who burst onto the scene in 2020 and is a two-time all-star. The duo both come from Toronto, but it marks a return to LA for Envoy, who previously played two seasons for the Thieves.

Ghosty is the only remaining LAT player from 2024 after finishing seventh in the CDL, but grabbing second place at the Esports World Cup earlier this summer. The second-year player is joined by a roster of superstars in the esport, making LAT an early top choice to dethrone OpTic Texas for the championship next season.

The roster did not come cheap for 100 Thieves, according to Nadeshot, who said on stream that he had to cut a part of his own salary “to get these contracts over the line, bro, because we ran out of money.”

The rest of the CDL rosters will now likely fall in line and take shape over the coming weeks before Black Ops 6 launches on Oct. 25.
