You can play Black Ops 7 early by using the age-old New Zealand trick. Here’s everything you need to know about getting your hands on BO7 as early as possible—no matter your location.

You need to leverage a region change on your preferred platform to unlock the game in New Zealand, as it’s the place where CoD and many other games become available first. Doing this gives you a significant head start over others, and you can start progressing with weapons and climb up ranks earlier.

This method is quite popular and can be achieved by changing your console or PC region settings to New Zealand. But while this trick is effective, it requires some careful configuration to avoid potential issues.

How to play Black Ops 7 early with the New Zealand trick

I have detailed the steps on how to change the region of your platform to New Zealand and play Black Ops 7 early:

PlayStation 5

  1. Head over to Activision’s official website
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Click on the “Profile” button located to the top right
  4. Click on “Basic Info”
  5. Click on “Edit” next to your address
  6. Here, you have to add a New Zealand address
  7. Then, click on Save

After that, you also have to use a PSN account based in New Zealand to play the new CoD. But take this with a grain of salt, because it didn’t work with Black Ops 6.

PC

For PC players, you can only change the region in the Xbox app. This means Steam users will have to wait for the release time according to their time zones to play the game on Valve’s platform.

  1. Repeat the steps from PS5
  2. Open up your System Settings on PC
  3. Click on “Time & Language”
  4. Then, “Language & Region”
  5. Under the “Country or region” drop-down menu, select New Zealand
  6. Restart your PC, and the changes will be saved

You can start playing the game using an active Game Pass subscription or by purchasing it through the Xbox PC app.

Xbox

  1. Repeat the steps from PS5
  2. Then open the Settings on your Xbox
  3. Go to System.
  4. Select “Language & Location”
  5. Select “Location”
  6. From there, you have to choose New Zealand
  7. Restart your console, and the changes will be saved

Activision has confirmed that BO7 preloads start on Nov. 10 at 11am CT or 9am PT for all platforms. So, make sure to get the download done beforehand so you won’t have to wait when it’s release time on NZ clocks.
