Pools A and D appear to be the groups of death at the 2018 CWL Dallas Open

The first major Call of Duty World League LAN event for WWII is right around the corner—and now we know the groups for pool play at the tournament.

The 16 teams for pool play at the CWL Dallas Open in December were finalized on Tuesday following the conclusion of this week’s NA CWL 2K tournament. The top 10 North American teams, top five European squads, and best APAC roster qualified for pool play based on their CWL pro point total in their respective regions.

MLG hosted the CWL Dallas pool play selection show earlier today, and now we know the teams that are in each group for this $200,000 tournament.

Here are the groups for the 2018 CWL Dallas Open.

Pool A

  • OpTic Gaming
  • Enigma6
  • UNILAD
  • Team Envy
  • TBD open bracket team

Pool B

  • Luminosity
  • Ground Zero
  • Team Vitality
  • Epsilon Esports
  • TBD open bracket team

Pool C

  • Team Kaliber
  • Red Reserve
  • Rise Nation
  • Mindfreak
  • TBD open bracket team

Pool D

  • Splyce
  • eUnited
  • Ghost Gaming
  • Evil Geniuses
  • TBD open bracket team

At first glance, Pool A and Pool D could both be the groups of death. There will be a ton of great storylines heading into pool play, but many fans will be excited to see OpTic vs. Envy, as well as Splyce vs. eUnited.

The CWL Dallas Open is one of the most highly-anticipated Call of Duty events in recent history, and it all kicks off on Dec. 8.
