The next installment in the Call of Duty franchise is just a few months away—and fans learned more about the upcoming game this evening at Sony’s E3 2018 press conference.
Treyarch already revealed that four fan-favorite maps will be remastered in Black Ops 4: Jungle, Summit, Firing Range, and Slums. But anyone who preorders Black Ops 4 from the PlayStation Store will be able to play these “Back in Black” maps in Black Ops III on PS4.
In addition, Black Ops III will be free for anyone who has PlayStation Plus starting tonight.
Many fans will likely scurry to their PS4s to preorder the upcoming game so they can play the remastered maps as soon as possible. All of these fan-favorite maps looked amazing in the brief clip that Sony showed, making many longtime Call of Duty fans reminisce about playing the original Black Ops or Black Ops II.
Although fans are extremely excited about the return of Summit, Jungle, Slums, and Firing Range, four brand-new maps from Black Ops 4 will be playable at E3: Contraband, Payload, Seaside, and Frequency.
But PlayStation owners will undoubtedly be thrilled to test out the “Back in Black” maps in Black Ops III before Black Ops 4 is released worldwide on Oct. 12.
