Every village and town location in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

It's about knowing where to look.

When you first land back into the world of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, things might not be how you remember them and the map is clouded, making it difficult to find points of interest like villages. The fog of the map can lead to confusion, causing players to become unsure of where to go or what you will find with scarce resources to start out.

If, like me, you find yourself not knowing where to go or what a good place to travel to would look like, I recommend first seeking the various Skyview Towers to reveal the map. Failing that, heading to the nine villages scattered throughout Hyrule to make use of the items, quests, and unique features available in each one is also a good place to start.

Of course, knowing where to find those villages is crucial, so let’s point you in the right direction to cut down on your travel time.

  1. Rito Village
  2. Goron City
  3. Tarrey Town
  4. Lookout Landing
  5. Zora’s Domain
  6. Kakariko Village
  7. Gerudo Town
  8. Hateno Village
  9. Lurelin Village

There isn’t any secret trick when it comes to finding villages, just about knowing where they are. There are nine in total and you’ll likely find yourself visiting them all for each of their quests or just by exploring naturally.

There are, however, a few that require a bit of extra work to first get to, like Rito Village when it’s having bridge issues. As you approach the home of the Rito, a series of island-like land masses that lie in a canyon, you’ll notice the bridge is broken. But using a campfire and a few pinecones, you’ll be able to easily cross the ravine.

Rito Village, Goron City, Zora’s Domain, Gerudo Town, and Lookout Landing are all part of the main story. Be sure to venture out, though, going to all nine villages and taking advantage of their unique stores, looks, and surrounding areas will help you level up Link throughout your quest.
