Best artifacts for Yoimiya in Genshin Impact

It's going to depend on how you want to build her.

Yoimiya’s explosive style can be a great addition to your party since she is a powerful five-star Pyro character in Genshin Impact that attacks with a bow. Her skillset is suited to a damage-per-second (DPS) primary damage-dealing role which makes Yoimiya the focal point of any team she’s placed on, so players will need to equip her with powerful artifacts to ensure she performs to the best of her ability.

Yoimiya is from the Electro region of Inazuma and is known as the Queen of the Summer Festival due to her fireworks and personality. She is the owner of Naganohara Fireworks and packs her explosives into every move of her skillset which makes her one of the most entertaining characters to watch dominate the battlefield.

The Pyro Bow character is back for her fourth rerun for the first half of Genshin’s Version 3.7 update. Yoimiya’s “Tapestry of Golden Flames” will run alongside Yae Miko’s “Everbloom Violet” banner so players will need to make a tough choice between the Pyro and Electro characters.

When built right, Yoimiya is one of only a few bow characters capable of dishing out brutal damage. Most bow characters are better suited to supporting roles, but Yoimiya packs a powerful punch sure to help players seize victory in battle when they equip her with the right artifacts.

What are the best artifacts for Yoimiya in Genshin Impact?

In comparison to most other Teyvat recruits, Yoimiya is a particularly easy character to build. There isn’t anything complicated or versatile about her skillset, so all players should be building her almost exactly the same way.

The most important statistics to look for in Yoimiya’s artifacts are:

  • Pyro damage bonus
  • Attack
  • Critical rate
  • Critical damage

Since Yoimiya is a primary damage-dealing unit, players will want to build out the aspects of her skillset that will amplify her damage-dealing capabilities. Increasing her Pyro damage is the top priority to ensure she can deal significant elemental damage with her general attack right behind it.

Critical rate and critical damage are also crucial for Yoimiya so she can regularly apply brutal hits beyond what she is regularly capable of. Outside of these statistics, energy recharge and elemental mastery can also be good for her depending on the type of Yoimiya team composition you create.

Overall, there are really only three viable choices for the Pyro character. Most Teyvat recruits have a wide variety of artifacts that work well on them, but Yoimiya’s skillset is extremely specific and will only be amplified by a few different sets.

Shimenawa’s Reminiscence

  • Two-piece effect: Raises attack by 18 percent.
  • Four-piece effect: Upon casting an elemental skill, if the character has 15 or more energy, they then consume 15 Energy to increase normal attack, charged attack, and plunging attack damage by 50 percent for 10 seconds. This effect cannot be activated again when it is already active.
  • Location: Players can obtain this set from the Momiji-Dyed Court Domain in Yashiori Island, Inazuma.

If you want to play Yoimiya as a normal attack-centric DPS, then I recommend using the Shimenawa Reminiscence set. This set will greatly increase her normal, charged, and plunging attack damage, but it will also use a lot of energy.

Combining the Shimenawa Reminiscence set with the Thundering Pulse bow is a string choice and is the general best build for the Pyro Bow character. Yoimiya isn’t one of Genshin’s best characters, but with this artifact set and her signature weapon, she is still a solid force to be reckoned with.

Crimson Witch of Flames

  • Two-piece effect: Raises Pyro damage by 15 percent.
  • Four-piece effect: Raises Overloaded, Burning, and Burgeon damage by 40 percent. Raises Vaporize and Melt damage by 15 percent. Additionally, casting an elemental skill increases the two-piece set effects by 50 percent for 10 seconds and for up to three stacks.
  • Location: Travelers can visit the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula Domain in Bishui Plain, Liyue to obtain this set.

If you are primarily focusing on elemental reactions and Pyro damage, then the Crimson Witch of Flames set is the best one to equip on Yoimiya. This set will boost Yoimiya’s Pyro damage and make all Pyro reactions involving her more explosive while still taking advantage of her elemental burst’s stacking.

Echoes of an Offering

  • Two-piece effect: Raises attack by 18 percent.
  • Four-piece effect: When normal attacks successfully strike an enemy, they have a 36 percent chance of activating Valley Rite. If activated, Valley Rite raises normal attack damage by 70 percent of the equipping character’s attack. The Valley Rite effect ends 0.05 seconds after a normal attack deals damage and can be activated once every 0.2 seconds. If a normal attack does not activate Valley Rite then the odds of it being activated the next time are increased by 20 percent.
  • Location: This artifact set can be obtained from The Lost Valley Domain in The Chasm, Liyue.

The Echoes of an Offering set joined the world of Teyvat with Liyue’s The Chasm expansion and is a solid choice for Yoimiya. This set is somewhat similar to the Shimenawa’s Reminiscence artifact set and will help amplify Yoimiya’s damage dealing through her basic normal attack.

Although full four-piece artifacts can be powerful, players will also want to consider mixing and matching them for other powerful options. Based on my experience with Yoimiya’s abilities, two different two-piece sets are a string option for her.

The best artifact combinations players can equip Yoimiya with are as follows.

  • Two-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and two-piece Crimson Witch of Flames
  • Two-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and two-piece Echoes of an Offering
  • Two-piece Echoes of an Offering and two-piece Crimson Witch of Flames

Players can also use the two-piece Gladiator’s Finale set if they are seeking a general attack increase but should stay away from the four-piece version of this set since it only activates on sword, claymore, and polearm characters. The two-piece version has the same 18 percent increase as Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and can be used interchangeably with the Gladiator’s Finale set or paired with it if players want an increased attack bonus.
