Heirlooms are easily the most sought-after cosmetic items in Apex Legends. They not only look impressive but also communicate to others you’re incredibly dedicated to the game. If you want a signature item for your main, you’ll want to take a look at all of the Heirlooms in Apex.
How to get heirlooms in Apex Legends
Most Heirlooms can be unlocked by purchasing all the event skins the Heirloom is attached to upon its release in Apex. You can also unlock Heirlooms after an event has ended by using Heirloom Shards—a special material that has less than a one percent chance of dropping in any given Apex pack.
Players are guaranteed one set of Heirloom Shards in every 500 Apex packs, but the time it takes to get to that level—or the money required to buy that many packs—is astronomical.
That’s a lot of packs to open, but, luckily for gamers, you can track the number of Apex packs you’ve opened. All of these factors contribute to Heirlooms’ rarity and their desirability.
Adding to their prestige, most Heirlooms come with a unique Intro Quip to let everyone watching your Champion Presentation know that you’ve got an Heirloom in your hands. Not every legend has one, but the development team at Respawn is adding more every season, so chances are good that you’ll find one for your main soon.
Here is a list of all heirlooms in Apex Legends.
All Heirlooms in Apex Legends
This list is current as of season 22.
Universal Heirloom – Buster Sword R5
Introduced in the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Takeover, the Buster Sword R5 is Apex’s first universal heirloom. It can be equipped by any Legend.
The Buster Sword R5 could only be obtained from any event packs during the Final Fantasy event period, and did not go into the Mythic Shop once the event ended, making this the only time-limited Heirloom in Apex history.
Universal Artifact Heirloom – Cobalt Katar
First introduced during the Shadow Society collection event, the Cobalt Katar is the first Artifact Heirloom to be introduced to Apex Legends, a new class of universal heirlooms that can be equipped by all legends.
Like the Buster Sword R5, the Cobalt Katar is obtainable from limited event packs in the Shadow Society shop but will go into the standard Mythic Shop afterward once the event ends on April 16 as the first permanent universal heirloom.
Ash – Strongest Link
The Heirloom Intro Quip for the incisive investigator Ash is a nice callback to her status as an enemy Titan pilot from the campaign of Titanfall 2.
“Your death will come with speed and precision. That is the skill of a pilot.”
Bangalore – Cold Steel
Ever the hardworking and professional soldier, Bangalore’s Heirloom Intro Quip reinforces that she’s always up for a fight.
Intro Quip: “Hope you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty.”
Bangalore – Emerald Edge
Banaglore’s Heirloom recolor takes Cold Steel’s bright yellow and gunmetal grey style and turns them into a cool green and light blue combination. Perfect for slicing your way through the neon-soaked nights on E-District.
Bloodhound – Raven’s Bite
Bloodhound may be a merciless technological tracker, but they’re pretty softspoken too. Still, their Heirloom Intro Quip highlights reverence for their Old Ways belief system.
Intro Quip: “I honor those who’ve risen, not those who’ve fallen.”
Caustic – Death Hammer
As if the toxic trapper Caustic wasn’t creepy enough, his Heirloom has a skull on it and is called the Death Hammer. His Heirloom Intro Quip doesn’t make him anymore lovable either.
Intro Quip: “I look forward to getting my hands on you.”
Crypto – Biwon Blade
Crypto is a surveillance expert, as evidenced by his surveillance drone Tactical Ability, but it doesn’t make it any less unnerving to hear him say his Heirloom Intro Quip at the start of a match.
Intro Quip: “I’ll find you.”
Crypto – Durumi Blade
Crypto’s second heirloom sees the hacker ditch green for blue, and a flashier finisher to compliment his new sword. The heirloom set includes the Tranquility banner frame and the Fatal Error finisher.
Fuse – Razor’s Edge
Explosives Enthusiast Fuse knows how to put on a show in the Apex Games, and his Heirloom Quip perfectly reflects his reason for joining the sport: to perform on the biggest stage in the Outlands and bring fame to his home planet.
Intro Quip: “This one goes out to all the fine folks back home. Salvo, how ya bloody doing tonight?”
Gibraltar – War Club
The shielded fortress Gibraltar has a gentle and kind personality. That doesn’t really change even on the field of battle as his Heirloom Intro Quip isn’t the scariest one out there.
Intro Quip: “When this is over, they’ll all know the name Gibraltar.”
Horizon – Gravity Maw
The gravitational manipulator Horizon makes it clear in her Heirloom Intro Quip that her scientist background doesn’t mean you shouldn’t fear her.
Intro Quip: “When you see me, you’ll know it’s the end. Or a new beginning. It’s all relative, really.”
Lifeline – Shock Sticks
She may be a combat medic, but Lifeline knows how to enjoy herself. She’s definitely got her own sense of style, as evidenced by her decorated Shock Sticks, and her Heirloom Intro Quip shows off her personality just as much.
Intro Quip: “Check yo – self or wreck yo self. (laughs)”
Loba – Garra de Alanza
She may have lost her family and wealth when she was young, but the translocating thief Loba has stolen enough to buy herself back into a, well, her Heirloom Intro Quip says it pretty well.
Intro Quip: “I’m in a class of my own.”
Mirage – Too Much Witt
Holographic trickster Mirage is a bit on the chatty side — even if he’s talking to his holographic copies. His showboating attitude carries over into his Heirloom Intro Quip very well.
Intro Quip: “Excited to see you all in the ring. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of me’s to go around.”
Octane – Butterfly Knife
High-speed daredevil Octane doesn’t know the meaning of the word slow. Everything he does is all about speed and his Heirloom Intro Quip is no different.
Intro Quip: “Run fast. Hit fast. Win fast.”
Octane – Octane’s Prototype
Octane’s Prototype features the special experimental stim looted after the events of Kill Code and the Uprising event, loaded into a new butterfly knife. The set also comes with a new exclusive banner frame and the Over Stimulated finisher.
Pathfinder – Boxing Gloves
It’s hard not to love the plucky forward scout Pathfinder. As evidenced by his Heirloom Intro Quip, the optimistic little robot doesn’t even seem to know that he’s in a fight half of the time.
“Did you see how great I was? I did all kinds of amazing moves… are you listening?”
Rampart – Problem Solver
Rampart got her reputation as an amped modder thanks to her gearhead affinity for machinery and technology. As she says in her Heirloom Intro Quip, she doesn’t just know how to tinker with tech — she knows how to use it too.
Intro Quip: “I make things by hand, and kill things by hand.”
Revenant – Dead Man’s Curve
Synthetic nightmare describes Revenant perfectly. This formerly human assassin uses his Heirloom Intro Quip to reinforce the idea that he’s completely rejected his former humanity.
Intro Quip: “You don’t want to see this up close, skin bag.”
Revenant – Death Grip
While the Death Grip doesn’t offer any new Intro Quips for Revenant, it’s still got a creepy vibe that fits the synthetic monstrosity perfectly. It does, however, come with a completely new and unique emote!
Seer – Showstoppers
Ambush artist Seer is all about theatrics. His Heirloom is called the Showstoppers for starters, and, as his Heirloom Intro Quip points out, his affinity for performing is something that he truly enjoys.
Intro Quip: “My heart beats stronger with each challenge I overcome.”
Valkyrie – Suzaku
For Valkyrie, family is everything. As a winged avenger she hopes to avenge her father’s death, but, as her Heirloom Intro Quip makes clear, her mom inspires her as well.
“This little viper’s got her mom’s fangs.”
Wattson – Energy Reader
Static defender Wattson is more optimistic and bubbly than most of her fellow Legends, and this is clear in her punny Heirloom Intro Quip.
Intro Quip: “Try as you might, you can’t Kilowatt…son.”
Wraith – Kunai
Thanks to her incredible powers that make her an interdimensional skirmisher, Wraith has come out on top in many battles. This is definitely why her Heirloom Intro Quip oozes confidence.
Intro Quip: “You know what I look like – come find me.”
Wraith – Hope’s Dawn
As the second of Wraith’s Heirlooms, Hope’s Dawn doesn’t come with a unique Intro Quip. However, it’s worth noting that Wraith’s real name is Renee Hope Blasey making this an Heirloom with a unique tie to its Legend’s past.
