Best VALORANT crosshairs and codes for playing ranked

Take aim with the best crosshairs.

VALORANT’s crosshair customization options open up limitless possibilities for crosshair combinations, and the implementation of the crosshair code share system has made it easier to copy and share crosshairs. With different crosshairs now easier to access, the challenge is now finding the best one to use in VALORANT’s ranked competitive mode.

So what is the best crosshair? Well, there are a few factors to consider. It must be visible enough for you to see and not blend too much into the background but not so large and distracting that it’s hard to see the enemy it’s on. When it comes to ideas and suggestions, it’s a good idea to look to the professionals for inspiration.

Here are some of the best crosshairs for ranked play in VALORANT. If you want, you can also check out our full list of all pro player crosshair codes.

What are the best crosshair settings in VALORANT?

At the end of the day, or at the end of a round or match, the best crosshair is the one that you find the most comfort using. But there are a couple of general characteristics that are shared amongst the best ones.

  • Size means everything: A crosshair that’s too large and covers up too much of the enemy player can be a detriment, making it harder to hit headshots. But one that’s too small is harder to track and line up.
  • Easy to see but not distracting: Players have had a lot of fun making and sharing silly crosshairs over the past year, like the nerd glasses crosshair, but these ones are generally less optimal for ranked. But if it works for you, by all means, go for it.
  • Cyan is the way to go. White and green are good options too, but cyan crosshairs stick out the best.

Shroud’s Crosshair

Shroud may have a very short professional VALORANT career (for now), but his FPS skills are not to be questioned. Leading up to the North America Last Chance Qualifier for 2022, the mega-streamer put more focus on VALORANT but changed up his crosshair a handful of times.

His most recent crosshair is quite large and, generally, the best crosshairs are smaller, but who are we to doubt Shroud?

TenZ’s Crosshair

One of the best mechanical players in the game, an accomplished pro player with a trophy to his name, and a rapidly growing popular streamer, it’s no wonder people want to emulate TenZ’s playstyle. Like other pros, he experiments with different crosshair styles, but here’s what he’s been running with lately.

Yay’s Crosshair

Due to the high standards he set for himself and his accomplishments at international LANs, many people consider Cloud9’s yay one of the best players in the world, if not the best. He impressed so many folks that other pros and streamers began to adopt his crosshair. It’s small but precise and perfect for a player of yay’s mechanical prowess.

ScreaM’s Crosshair

ScreaM, the legendary headshot machine for Karmine Corp, used to use the infamous dot crosshair, which seemed fitting for his one-tap style. But more recently, heading into the 2023 season, he’s adopted a bigger crosshair style as well, similar to Shroud.
