The new Monopoly GO Treasure Hunt will run from Aug. 30 to Sept. 3. Mermaid Treasures features 20 milestone levels, which is nice after having past events run above 20. The Dig Hunt also showcases a Wild Sticker as a grand prize. Get the most Treasure Hunt rewards by strategically scheduling your schedule around daily Monopoly GO events, earning you dice rolls and more.

What are the Mermaid Treasures rewards in Monopoly GO?

Many players, including myself, will be playing Mermaid Treasures for the Wild Sticker. The remaining grand prize rewards are standard—2,500 dice rolls and cash.

Playing the Monopoly GO Mermaid Treasures Dig Hunt can earn players a new Shield and Token—and both look sharp. The Siren Scales Shield features a blue and purple combination of colors on a clam shell, while Siren Scottie has Mr. Monopoly’s best friend surfing a wave.

Other rewards include pickaxe tokens, of which I predict you’ll need at least 170 to 200 to complete the Mermaid Treasures Dig Hunt. Finishing the Treasure Hunt will earn you 5,075 dice rolls and four Sticker packs, in addition to cash and the new cosmetics.

How to play Mermaid Treasures in Monopoly GO

Treasure Hunts in Monopoly GO are my favorite type of event, containing less RNG than other events while having you solve puzzles to unearth treasure. Each level in the Mermaid Treasures event will contain treasures you need to dig up with your pickaxe/shovel tokens that were earned by playing daily.

Each milestone block varies in difficulty and size, but pay attention to the size of the treasures from the first few levels because they don’t change. It’s possible to finish a Monopoly GO Treasure Hunt as a free-to-play player. It does take time and strategy, though. Be sure to log in daily for pickaxe/shovel tokens, compete in daily events, and don’t forget about free dice rolls.
