Which LoL champion says ‘All will drown’?

I had to search the depths for this answer.

We’re back at it with another LoLdle champion quote challenge, and today’s July 9 LoLdle quote is a bit of a doozy, especially if you’re unfamiliar with tanks. Even then, you’ll need some League of Legends lore knowledge to get this one right.

Who says, “All will drown” in LoL?

The LoLdle quote on July 9 is, “All will drown.” The League champion who says this line is Nautilus.

I had complete confidence going into today’s LoLdle champion quote because, despite my out-of-the-box thinking, I was able to guess yesterday’s champion in one go. So, if I went in with the same mindset, I’d surely be able to guess quickly.

As soon as I saw the quote, I knew it had to be either Tahm Kench, Pyke, or Nautilus, as they’re the only ones with water-themed quotes about drowning their victims. My problem was I didn’t know which of those three it would be—and it cost me a perfect guess too.

My first guess was Tahm Kench because he seemed like the kind of creature that would toss you into the ocean and let you drown, but that turned out to be wrong, so I tried Pyke for similar reasons. Again, incorrect. After plugging in Nautilus and getting it right on the third try I was relieved because I didn’t have a Plan D or E to try.

After watching countless Nautilus games, especially all those Nautilus mid in pro, and playing him myself as a support main (albeit not often enough), I should have gone with Nautilus first because this is a line I’ve heard often as he says it while attacking. But it’s so similar to Kench’s line, “All shall drown in my magnificence,” that it threw me for a loop.

Although today’s quote was challenging, knowing a bit of League lore certainly pays off when narrowing down the champion suspects.
