How to get Flax in Enshrouded

If you're in need of Linen, you first need to find Flax. Here are the best locations in Enshrouded to farm for the flower.

Flax is one of the key ingredients for crafting high-level armor in Enshrouded. But like many crafting ingredients, you won’t be able to find it until you reach later regions of the map, making it hard to find for players who don’t know where to look.

Before you get Flax in Enshrouded

Before you go out looking for this blue flower in Enshrouded, we recommend completing the following tasks:

  • Unlock the Farmer
  • Unlock the Hunter
  • Finish Farmer’s quest so you unlock Farming
  • Reach level seven
  • Reach level three Flame

Not all of these are necessary, but if you want to take full advantage of Flax, we recommend checking off everything on the above list. After you unlock the Farmer, you can unlock her Seedbed, which you can use to get even more Flax. The Hunter can unlock the Hand Spindle, which you can then use to turn Flax into Linen.

We suggest reaching level seven because the area where you gather Flax has a few dangerous mobs that won’t pose much of a threat as long as you are level seven. The level three Flame will expand your explorable area, making enemies much easier to deal with. If you check all of these boxes, you’re ready to get Flax and turn it into Linen.

Best places to farm Flax in Enshrouded

To get Flax in Enshrouded, fast travel to the Revelwood Ancient Spire location and head in any direction using your Glider. We found Flax on a cliffside to the west of the spire relatively quickly, but you can find the plant all around the Revelwood area near Diadwyn, making it easy to farm the resource in this location. Flax appears as a blue flower, so keep your eyes peeled for a bright pop of blue as you’re soaring the skies above the forested region.

On your hunt, we recommend collecting as much Flax as you can for your future crafting endeavors. While you’re picking the flower, you might also want to consider looking for Stinging Nettle, a spiky green plant that’s used for the production of certain types of pet bait. Stinging Nettle is found in the same areas as Flax, and if you want to later tame a cat, you’ll need plenty of this plant to make food any feline would love.

Once you’ve added the Hunter to your base and completed a handful of her early quests, you’ll be able to build a Hand Spindle by speaking to her. This crafting station allows you to make Linen, a vital ingredient required in the construction of ranger or wizard armor. For every one Linen you make, you’ll need two Flax.

Now that you’ve turned your Flax into Linen, you can speak to the Hunter or the Alchemist to make various light armor best used for rangers and wizards.
