The Game Awards 2023 is coming in a few hours, more precisely taking place on Dec. 7 at 4:30pm PT/6:30pm CT/12:30am GMT (Dec. 8)/11:30am AEST (Dec. 8) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

You can expect several highlights including awards, game announcements, musical performances, and more. Special guests already announced include actor Timothée Chalamet from popular movies like Dune. A limited number of public tickets to the event were available through the Peacock Theater box office, but they quickly sold out.

Thankfully, you don’t have to miss out, even if you don’t get to attend the ceremony in person. The whole event is livestreamed, so you get to tune into the action from the comfort of your home.

As well as the direct feeds for The Game Awards 2023 itself, you can also watch the action alongside your favorite streamers on the day as co-streaming is available on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook Live.

How long are The Game Awards 2023?

With dozens of categories to go over, as well as the usual previews, announcements, and trailers, the night is a celebration of the past year in gaming, as well as what’s to come. Of course, each year is different, but like most award shows, The Game Awards usually are at least three hours long.

If you want to be more precise, last year’s ceremony clocked in at three and a half hours, including trailers for games like Baldur’s Gate 3. The long-awaited sequel now leads the field in nominations for 2023 alongside Alan Wake 2.

So it’s best to find a comfortable seat and make sure you prepare some food and drinks to enjoy the night.
