The trading card game space is heating up with the upcoming launch of Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn, and we have an exclusive reveal for a Ruby three-drop called Tigger, One of a Kind.Â
Prerelease events for Rise of the Floodborn are less than a month away, starting on Nov. 17. Spoiler season for the Disney Lorcana second chapter is officially underway, with the Ravensburger dev team including a new bounce package in the Amethyst color. And now, the Lorcana design team has a new three-drop in the Ruby color that synergizes with Action cards—and Dot Esports is revealing it today.
Tigger, One of a Kind

- Casting cost: Three (Inkable)
- Type: Dreamborn and Tigger
- Color: Ruby
- Rarity: Uncommon
- Stats: 3/3
- Lore: One
- Energetic ability: Whenever you plan an Action, this Character gets plus-two power this turn.
There’s an argument that Tigger, One of a Kind is a possible replacement for Rafiki, Mysterious Sage in the popular Disney Lorcana meta deck Ruby/Amethyst. Much of that argument is meta-dependant, though. The meta will likely drastically change with the launch of Rise of the Floodborn, which is expected to coincide with a second print release of The First Chapter.
It’s also possible the Uncommon Dreamborn won’t become a meta card in Constructed. I think it’s a mistake, however, to sleep on Tigger, One of a Kind in a Lorcana casual format like Two-Headed Hydra and other formats that have emerged.
The first trait that stands out the most to me is that Tigger, One of a Kind is an Inkable three-cost with 3/3 power and toughness. These are solid stats to build upon, whether it’s in a Starter Deck or an MTG Pauper-like format that only uses low-rarity cards. Tigger, One of a Kind is a weak Lore source, which is a downside. His Energetic ability, however, can have the Dreamborn Tigger packing a punch when synergizing with Action cards.

In a Ruby/Steel deck using only Actions from The First Chapter, Tigger, One of a Kind suddenly begins to look like an impressive three-drop. It’s plausible the Dreamborn can pop off in a Ruby/Emerald deck with the item Dr. Facilier’s Cards, tapping to discount the casting cost by one for the next Action you play that turn. But I think Tigger, One of a Kind has potential in Ruby/Amber.
Songs are Actions and Ariel, Spectacular Singer is already a foundational Character in any Lorcana deck playing Amber and Songs. One of the top meta decks heading into the release of Rise of the Floodborn is Amber/Steel, which dominated at the PPG MiamiCon tournament. Perhaps Tigger, One of a Kind is the start of a Ruby/Amber deck in the making.Â
Players can test the worth of Tigger, One of a Kind starting on Nov. 17, with the retail launch of Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn taking place on Dec. 1.
