Riot Games has finally pulled back the curtain on VALORANT Mobile, the highly anticipated port of our favorite tactical shooter for gaming phones. Pre-registrations for the game have already begun, but before you get all warmed up and hopeful, there are a few restrictions as to who can participate.
While the first official trailer for the port went live on April 21, Riot has reportedly been running several closed tests on VALORANT Mobile since 2023. A bunch of leaks from these tests have already given us a sneak peek, but now, you can finally sign up to experience all the anticipated fun firsthand.
If you’re wondering how to pre-register for VALORANT Mobile, this guide will walk you through the steps and outline the eligibility requirements.
VALORANT Mobile pre-registration date, how to sign up, and more
Pre-registration for VALORANT Mobile is now live, starting April 21. Unfortunately, it’s currently only available in China.

If you reside in China and want to pre-register for VALORANT Mobile, just follow these steps:
- Go to the official pre-registration website for VALORANT Mobile.
- Select the Pre-register button.
- Here, you can either log in using your existing QQ or WeChat account or create a new account.
- Enter all details correctly to complete registration.
- You should receive a confirmation on your QQ account once the registration is complete.
Once you’re done with pre-registration, wait for an invite to the next VALORANT Mobile playtest, which is expected to start soon. During this play test, you can earn a bunch of exclusive player cards by completing missions, so make sure you don’t miss the chance to join the grind. You’ll need to register with a phone number to receive these rewards.
Riot has planned to take it slow with the launch of VALORANT Mobile, starting with China, which is home to one of the largest and most competitive mobile FPS communities in the world. In fact, the mobile version has been crafted in collaboration with LightSpeed Studios, a well-known Chinese developer, with a focus on offering the kind of “smooth ability controls and masterful gameplay and movement” that VALORANT is known for. Riot also promises great performance across a range of mobile devices, so you should be able to enjoy a lag-free experience as long as your phone meets the minimum requirements.
“Since LightSpeed is already a trusted developer in the region, we think it makes sense to start more locally, where their mobile expertise shines, before we finalize our plans to expand to other regions,” Anna Donlon, Studio Head for VALORANT, said in an announcement video. As disheartening as that sounds, don’t worry: VALORANT Mobile will eventually be made available in other countries.
We’ll update this story when new information about the global release and pre-registration drops.
