Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has had quite a few glitches, some of which have been worse than others, but this latest one might be the strangest of all—it’s turning eggs into all sorts of items.
In other news, Pokémon Go players are furious that yet another bad item, a ‘Great Box’ bundle that isn’t so great at all, is being sold in the item shop, and it’s left them fearing the worst.
And on another note, a diehard Pokémon fan created a nostalgia-inducing version of Scarlet and Violet that could have existed on the Game Boy Color in a parallel universe somewhere.
Well, that’s not what I expected…
The last thing you’d expect to see in the egg basket after two Pokémon have bred at a picnic is a Cheri Berry, but that’s exactly what one player keeps finding when breeding Pokémon. For whatever reason, every time they rummage through the basket, they receive another instance of the delicious berry—stumbling across what seems to be another duplication glitch.
According to other players, it may be because the player has set the picnic on a Cheri Berry spawn point on the ground, and it can be replicated with other items too, like Starpieces, to farm money.
Go players have had enough of bad item shop bundles
Yesterday, Niantic pulled an incredible Boost Box deal from the Pokémon Go item store after the community cottoned on to how good of a deal it was, causing countless players to miss out, and in turn, lose their minds.
Today, the anger and disappointment snowballed even more after Niantic added a new Great Box bundle that wasn’t worth the price at all. It has 50 Razz Berries, 50 Pinap Berries, and 50 Nanab Berries, all of which are easy to find, for an overpriced cost of 750 PokéCoins.
What’s more, their inflated value in the bundle has led some players to believe the items in them could be nerfed soon, similarly to how Golden Razz Berries were nerfed a while ago.
If Scarlet and Violet existed on Game Boy Color, it would look like this
A Pokémon fan named Taynathon created a video of Scarlet and Violet based on how it would look if it was released on Game Boy Color in 1999, and it has captivated the community.
It shows the main character encountering Mela, the Boss of Team Star’s Fire Crew, who uses Aramrogue to fight against Meowscarada, complete with retro designs and music blaring.
Other players loved it so much, they hope to one day see an actual version made into a game, which would of course have to be released as an unofficial ROM, which Game Freak won’t like.
