Blizzard Entertainment revealed a few hero updates and bug fixes that were introduced to Overwatch’s Public Test Region yesterday.

Most notably, one of the changes targets Overwatch’s newest hero. Baptiste was first introduced to Overwatch fans with a short origin story released on Feb. 25. The hero was then added to the game’s PTR the next day, giving players their first look at his abilities.

And now, one of Baptiste’s abilities has been altered on the PTR. Blizzard has “made significant changes” to the appearance of Baptiste’s ultimate, Amplification Matrix.

“When we originally released Amplification Matrix, we felt like it looked a little too much like a shield,” Blizzard said. “These changes will make it clear that this is a field and not a shield.”

In addition, Blizzard “fixed a bug that allowed Baptiste to gain ultimate charge by healing heroes after they were damaged by passing cars on Oasis.”

The Overwatch developer also altered Symmetra’s Photon Projector in this PTR update. Primary Fire’s damage “ramps up” 20 percent faster now. “This will allow Symmetra to more consistently reach peak damage output from her Photon Projector,” Blizzard said.

Although some players will be curious to see the results of this Symmetra change, most Overwatch fans will likely keep an eye on Baptiste as Blizzard continues to test out the new hero.
