#27: OG make an appearance in the CSGO top 30

The brand new powerhouse on the CSGO scene, OG, has made a sudden appearance in the top 30. For now, placed way at the back at spot number 27, the spot is due to their first ever LAN appearance at cs_summit 5. Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen and co. made it out of the group stage of the event before going down with honor against mousesports 2-1 in the semi-final. It is worth mentioning that mousesports are currently on a roll as well, having won three events in a row, including ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals over Fnatic.

#5: Evil Geniuses fall after mousesports and Team Liquid strides

Previously placed on the third spot on the ranking, Evil Geniuses have been overtaken by mousesports and Team Liquid due to mousesports’ recent cs_summit victory and Liquid’s BLAST Pro Series Global finals runner-up placement. Following the team’s success at StarSeries i_League Season 8, the team failed to continue its stride. After failing to get out of the group stage at IEM Beijing, EG was bested by mousesports in the quarterfinals of CS:GO Asia Championships. Their luck did not improve at ECS Season 8 where Astralis took care of the American team in the semis. Lastly, mousesports would yet again meet Evil Geniuses at the quarterfinals of ESL Pro League, an event that mousesports won themselves after overcoming Fnatic 3-0. If things continue going the way they are for EG, then the team is sure to drop in the rankings even further. What did you think of this week’s ranking changes in CSGO?
