How to win featured Asteroid M location in Marvel Snap

“I like to move it, move it.”

The Days of Future Past season of Marvel Snap brings a new location to the game during the Featured Location event. Since the new location will appear 50 percent more often in player matches for the next 24 hours, players who can build the best decks for Asteroid M will be more likely to earn more cubes per match.

All fans of move decks can rejoice during the event, as the new location clearly favors this archetype.

Asteroid M location in Marvel Snap explained

Asteroid M is a new common location with the effect: “After you play a 3 or 4-Cost card, move it here.” The new location effect is unique to Marvel Snap, as it interacts with the entire board and draws specific cards to itself as long as there are free spaces on it.

While its effect clearly provides a new way to move some cards in decks that want to move to get stronger, it is possible to find other different interactions depending on each card and its interaction with the locations in which they are played, such as Rescue or Crossbones.

How to win at Asteroid M in Marvel Snap

The big winners in Asteroid M are Vulture, Kraven, and Doctor Strange. The three cards are often staples in movement decks, and the new location adds more options for these cards to power up.

When Kraven is on Asteroid M, any three- and four-cost cards that both the player and the opponent play will buff him. Vulture gets a free Power boost whenever he is not played on Asteroid M and Doctor Strange can pull him from there, to then move himself to Asteroid M. When these cards are used in sequence, alone they can represent a total of 22 Power until turn four.

Since the location means certain cards may not be played where the player wants, double attention is needed in the plays so as not to end up making worthless plays. Whenever the player is not prepared, it is possible to add Scarlet Witch or Storm to transform the location into something else.

This also represents a valid strategy to prevent movement decks from taking advantage of Asteroid M.

The best Asteroid M decks in Marvel Snap

The following suggestions are designed to have a gameplay advantage during the Featured Location event and while they may not perform in the same way after the event is over, they can still net player wins. The player can replace several of the cards listed below according to his preferences and collection.

Here are the best Asteroid M decks in Marvel Snap, according to SafetyBlade with Marvel Snap Zone.

Asteroid M Series One

The movement archetype is far from complete with the cards available in Series One, but Kraven and Angela are two cards that can get quite powerful, especially when both are present.

Kraven must be played first on turn two in Asteroid M, that way every card that moves there will benefit him. Angela must be played in a different location and in addition to her normal effect activations the player can play Nightcrawler and Captain America to power her up. While it is possible to manually remove Nightcrawler from the lineup, Captain America will be pulled by Asteroid M, strengthening Angela and giving space for another card to do the same.

Asteroid M Series Two

The main idea is still the same as the Series One deck, but now the player has access to Vulture and Vision. The key to accumulating Power is using moves wisely, plus this deck has the previously mentioned Kraven, Vulture, and Doctor Strange combo.

Armor can also be used to protect both one-cost cards and cards with power greater than nine, as they could be destroyed by opponents’ Killmonger or Shang-Chi.

Asteroid M Series Three

With all the cards available, the deck gains new tools to make use of Asteroid M, mainly Polaris and Miles Morales. While Kraven and Vulture are the cards with the highest point potential, Aero is key to adding control.

Miles Morales is perfect for the event, as opponents are almost certain to play cards that cost three or four, so his cost-benefit is very rewarding. Dagger can pack a lot of Power if moved to an Asteroid M that already contains the opponent’s cards, and Human Torch can become quite powerful with the deck’s movement effects, such as Iron Fist and Cloak.
