In response to some tough love the newly-revealed Dunkmaster Ivern received, Riot Games posted on the League of Legends forums today to give some updates on changes to the skin.

Ivern released in October 2016, and while he’s not the oldest champion with only a single skin since his release (sorry, Taliyah!) the Green Father has yet to see much love in the skin department. Early last week, however, Riot revealed Dunkmaster Ivern, a unique, sporty, basketball-themed take on the jungle champion.

The skin was met with a lukewarm response from the League of Legends community. Many fans of the game suggested it was an early April Fool’s joke while others claimed the developer had mixed it up with the new Hextech Jarvan IV skin. But most just spammed Bob Ross or “Foster’s House for Imaginary Friends” memes.

After a full week of letting the dust settle, Riot posted on the League forums a list of changes the skin has seen in development since its first previews on the Public Beta Environment. Dunkmaster Ivern’s recall now sports a new backboard on his basketball hoop, and there are new assets on the champion’s taunt and Bush Spawn for his W. Likewise, Riot amped up his sound effects and clarified the visual effects on his passive camp.

While it may not be the complete solution the League of Legends community originally wished for, the skin will see drastic improvements from its initial reveal and will look even better when it finally hits the Rift.

As is customary with skin releases, Dunkmaster Ivern won’t have an official release date and will remain on the PBE for further testing following the new changes. One thing’s for certain, though–Ivern’s new basketball-dunkin’ skin is here to stay.
