Misfits announced IgNar’s departure on Nov. 23. He left alongside mid laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage, as Misfits brought in mid laner Chres “Sencux” Laursen and support Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle from Splyce to replace them.

IgNar was one of the main reasons behind Misfits’ success in the EU LCS Summer Split and at the 2017 World Championship. His unorthodox picks in an Ardent Censer meta, like Blitzcrank and Leona, proved vital to the team’s victories.

Misfits came close to reaching the semifinals at Worlds after an impressive performance against reigning world champions SK Telecom T1, but they fell just short of victory.

Bbq OLIVERS finished ninth in the 2017 LCK Summer Split and were forced to compete in the 2018 Spring Promotion tournament. Bbq beat CJ Entus twice to regain their spot in the LCK after losing to Kongdoo Monster in the second round of the winners bracket.
