Topping August is Dota 2 on the back ofThe International 6, with a whopping 51.6 millionhours watched, 33.2 of which were esports hours, a 64 percentshare. That ties the game with Super Smash Bros.for the biggest esports share on the list.

The ever-consistent stalwart League ofLegends sits at number two on the list for the thirdmonth in a row, with 30 percent of its whopping 79.3 million hourswatched being esports. It seems that LoL is hereto stay.

Dropping a precipitous three spots to number four isCounter-Strike: Global Offensive, whichsat at number one in July thanks to strong showings of tournamentslike ESL One Cologne and ELEAGUE,with the latter set to return this fall. Are these numbers skewedthanks to recent betting scandals in the scene as well?

While CS fell, Blizzard’s Overwatch climbed abig three spots thanks to multiple tournaments, includingqualifiers for ELEAGUE’s Overwatch Open, set toculminate at the end of the month. With 18.3 million total viewers, just 17 percent (3.1m) of that time was esports hours, thanks inlarge part to popular variety streamers playing the game on aconsistent basis.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III goes up aspot to number eight, and the number should rise in Septemberthanks to Call of Duty XP 2016. Rounding out thelist at nine and ten are Heroes of the Storm andSmite, respectively, both new additions to thelist since July. The two games combined for just 1.7 millionesports hours.
