Hard Rock Bet gears up for Michigan iGaming debut

Another premier operator coming to the Great Lakes State.

Hard Rock Bet is preparing to make its mark on Michigan’s thriving online casino scene, becoming the fourteenth licensed iGaming brand in the state.

The gambling operator is set to expand into Michigan, which is only one of a few U.S. jurisdictions permitting up to 15 online casino operators under current law.

A dedicated Michigan webpage has already gone live, signaling that Hard Rock Bet is close to completing the final stages of its application with the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB). Once approved, the launch will bring the number of active iGaming platforms in Michigan to 14.

This move follows Hard Rock’s acquisition of 888 Holdings’ U.S. assets in May 2024, a deal that became possible after 888 ended its partnership with Sports Illustrated earlier that year.

Upon launch, Hard Rock Bet plans to deliver a comprehensive lineup of casino entertainment to Michigan players. The platform will include a wide selection of slots and table games such as blackjack, baccarat, roulette, pai gow, and craps, along with live dealer and game show-style experiences.

The company also aims to introduce robust loyalty programs, leaderboard competitions, and special promotions to engage local players. Once the platform officially launches, Michigan users can expect an offer similar to the welcome package in New Jersey.

Michigan’s iGaming market has rapidly evolved into one of the most competitive in the United States, with brands like BetMGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel leading the charge. Hard Rock Bet’s entry adds another powerhouse name to the mix, further fueling growth across the state’s online casino sector.

The platform’s arrival is set to benefit players across Detroit, Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and the Upper Peninsula, offering access to Hard Rock’s full suite of digital casino games and rewards.

Pending final regulatory approval, Hard Rock Bet’s Michigan launch is expected to reinforce the Great Lakes State’s position as a major hub for online gaming.
